Howard Lippes, MD
Dr. Howard Lippes co-founded R & B Medical Group after working in the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Department of Medicine for many years. He received his MD from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and his clinical training at Children’s, Buffalo General Hospital and the Buffalo Veterans Administration Medical Center. Dr. Lippes also did a fellowship and research training in Endocrinology at the Yale University School of Medicine.
During his respected career, he also served as a Research Assistant Professor, Clinical Assistant Professor and Assistant Professor in the UB School of Medicine; as Chief of Endocrinology at Sisters of Charity Hospital; as a Consulting Endocrinologist in UB’s Sports Medicine Institute; and as the Director of the UB School of Medicine’s clinical rotation program at the Catholic Health System.
His research has been published in over 30 different publications over the years thus far.
While at Children’s, Dr. Lippes managed medical care for pregnant patients and collaborated in the obstetrical and gynecological divisions within the hospital. As his professional relationship with Dr. Richard Lee developed, R&B was formed and evolved into a chiefly private practice with sub-specialties in internal medicine, family practice, obstetrics, specialty care for infectious disease, and endocrinology.
Today, Dr. Lippes continues to oversee and actively practice at R&B, while contributing to textbooks, and mentoring medical students in residency within the R&B clinics.
